East Herrington Primary Academy offers up to 15 hours of free Nursery education to 3 – 4 year olds and the option of an additional 15 hours of free childcare to eligible families. We accept children into the Nursery class from the September after the child’s 3rd birthday. For more information about Nursery admissions and sessions available, please contact the school directly.
Nursery registrations can be made once your child has had their second birthday. To do this please complete the below nursery_application form and email it to EHPA@balmorallearningtrust.co.uk along with a photo/copy of your child’s birth certificate and Council tax bill as proof of address.
Children eligible to apply for a Reception class school place will be informed of the process via a letter from Sunderland Council, usually in the September of the preceding academic year. These letters are distributed via Nursery schools and given to those children registered at their setting. If your child does not attend a Nursery, please contact the Life, Family and Learning team at Sunderland Council directly on 0191 520 5553 to find out more.
