School Uniform

We believe that uniform plays an important role in our school’s ethos. Children need to be suitably dressed for the day ahead and a smart appearance helps to maintain high esteem and a sense of pride in the school community.  We expect all children to look their best.

Our school colours are blue and grey. Uniform with the school logo can be purchased at The School Outfit (Little Gems) either online (https://theschooloutfit.co.uk/collections/east-herrington-primary-academy) or in person at 259 High Street West, Sunderland, SR1 3DH and Unit 5, The Galleries Shopping Centre, Washington NE38 7SD

Please send your child to school in sensible, flat- heeled shoes.  Fashion footwear, if only for the sake of safety, is unsuitable.  Trainers are not suitable for wearing throughout the school day. In winter weather, children need indoor shoes / plimsolls and outdoor shoes or wellies.  P.E. and reading bags can be purchased from the main school office.

Please make sure that all clothing is clearly named using sew-in or iron-on name labels if possible. Pen often becomes illegible or wears off after a few washes.

Children are allowed to wear a sensible watch which encourages them to learn to read the time. The wearing of any other jewellery (including earrings), make-up and nail varnish is forbidden.
