Head Teacher's Welcome

At East Herrington Primary Academy we endeavour to provide a happy, safe and caring environment in which children feel secure and valued and everyone can achieve their true potential.  We value the talents of each individual and work closely with parents to ensure that everyone achieves their very best.  Our standards are high in all areas and we have high expectations of our children and staff.  We are extremely proud of all of our achievements – academic, sporting, social and musical.

“Pupils’ good and often exemplary behaviour in lessons reflects their strong sense of right and wrong. They display an admirable ability to reflect selflessly on the personal circumstances that affect themselves and others, both in the school and the local community.” Ofsted , January 2011

Our rich curriculum helps children to become successful learners.  Following the excellent start in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2 continue to develop the whole child by building independent learners through a creative curriculum.  By the time our children leave us at the end of Year 6 they are well prepared for the next steps of their educational experience.

“Pupils are polite, helpful and happily work together, listening to each other, exchanging views during debates and being considerate. Consequently, pupils are will prepared for their next stage of learning.”  Ofsted, 2011

Staff at East Herrington Primary Academy are committed to providing a varied and interesting curriculum whilst retaining a focus on key skills.  We aim to produce outstanding citizens through the stimulating learning environment we provide, where the needs of our children are at the heart of every decision we make.

“Relationships between staff and pupils are excellent” Ofsted, January 2011

We encourage all children to respect others and develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, the Academy and their community.  All children are expected to play their part in looking after the environment and being ambassadors for East Herrington Primary Academy.

“The good care, guidance and support which pupils receive are a strength of the school” Ofsted, 2011.

We hope that the information in this website will provide some idea of life within our school community.  We invite you to visit us to see the school in action and find out more about East Herrington Primary Academy.
