Christmas Community Concert (posted on 15.12.2015)

It is a Christmas tradition at East Herrington Primary Academy to invite members of the local community to help us celebrate at Christmas. Year 6 pupils were asked to invite their grandparents into school and invitations were also sent to nominated local residents to join us for an afternoon of musical entertainment.  On Tuesday 8th December 2015 we all came together for a warm drink and a mince pie, and settled in to enjoy the festivities.

The Year 5 and 6 pupils sang a range of songs both old and new, and the audience was invited to join in.  We also had musical performances from pupils who are learning to play the cello, violin, clarinet and flute.  Some pupils have only been learning for a short length of time so they did very well to stand up in front of an audience.

Overall it was a fantastic afternoon and we all enjoyed ourselves.  Thank you to everyone that was able to attend – we hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Parking Safety Reminder (posted on 10.12.2015)

Please be considerate to each other and local residents whilst dropping off and collecting children from school and nursery.  It is our collective responsibility to maintain a safe journey to school for everyone.  The short video clip below provides information on parking outside of schools.
